Wedding Day - July 24, 2004 Posted by Hello
So today I received an email about people who are actually interested in our wedding which has been touted as a "Hello Kitty" wedding. Although it may sound a little ridiculous, it was what I wanted for our wedding ... but also for it not to be overdone.

Story here:

I searched on the web and noticed one posting from someone thinking our wedding wasn't hello kitty "enough"... in a way, I feel kind of sad about someone making fun of our wedding but in another way, i don't really care either. There was more I could've done to make the wedding more outlandish with more Hello Kitty but it wasn't in our budget nor did I want to make our wedding tacky.

My husband has already been understanding enough to let me do what I wanted with our wedding ceremony but it was all his idea to design a ring for me with a platinum band and hello kitty face. Maybe one day I will post a picture.

He gave me an idea to use my blog as a place to talk about my obsession with Hello Kitty so I thought I'd start with this today.

So now I am a married woman... back from the honeymoon and back to real life for the last 3 weeks. It's amazing how time flies and there is so much to do but you just don't feel like doing it! It's hard to get motivated... if anyone has any tips to get motivated to start writing thank you cards, please let me know.

I started wondering about these online journals after reading "Why Girls are Weird" but I still don't know what to write about... my obsession with all things cute (Hello Kitty, Tare Panda, Mashimaro, etc), my life as a legalized drug dealer (i.e. pharmacist), the madness of planning a wedding, my eccentric four kitty cats, books, music, food... ?

Well may be too much to think about for now, I'm just back from four days in Monterey, CA for a conference... time for bed.
